People with initial knowledge of CAPL programming or previous knowledge of C programming

Requirements:

CANoe training, basic knowledge of programming, e.g. C or Python.
To prepare for the training, you will find a quiz on your learning plan (this is set automatically in the Bertrandt booking system after booking a training date) on the necessary prior knowledge.

Basics and possible applications of CAPL
Events, procedures and structural elements in CAPL
Message-based programming for CAN
Using the CAPL browser
Defining and using system variables
Connecting CAPL programs to CANoe panels
Signal-based programming
Creating residual bus simulations (RBS)
Using vector interaction layers (IL) to simplify an RBS
Gateways in CAPL / CANoe
CAPL programming with FlexRay and LIN
Analyzing the message stream in the measurement setup
CAPL programming for diagnostics
Programming exercises to get started (mandatory for all participants)

Further individual programming exercises to choose from:

Create more complex remaining bus simulation (RBS) with CAPL.
Program a gateway with CAPL.
Create diagnostic simulation or tester application with CAPL.
Complex analysis and filters with CAPL.

Important information:

Please provide a second screen for the online training sessions.
You will need Citrix access; you will receive the instructions in good time for the appointment.
In the afternoon, the training computer will be available for independent CAPL exercises on request.

Training objectives:

You will receive a compact introduction to CAPL programming with CAN.
You will learn the basic principles and important application scenarios in simple introductory exercises.
You will learn more about remaining bus simulation, gateways, analysis, filters and diagnostics with CAPL.
You will learn tips and tricks for simplified CAPL programming.
You will learn how to avoid typical application errors.
You will deepen your knowledge with individual practical exercises on the computer with CANoe.

Duration: 4 days of 5,5 hours each (22 hours)

Teaching method: Live online training as a practical workshop in a small group with a maximum of 4 to 7 participants

Certificate: Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Participation fee: Euro 1.140,00 per person plus tax.
