In the Bertrandt diagnostics and networking training, you will gain important knowledge about measuring and analyzing with CANoe / CANalyzer. You will gain an insight into the most important bus systems in the vehicle and an overview of vehicle diagnostics.

Requirements: There are no professional requirements for participation.

  • Overview of automotive networking and bus systems
  • CAN basics
  • Introduction to LIN
  • Practical part CAN and LIN with CANoe
  • Overview of Ethernet and DoIP
  • Interrelationships in the diagnostic test system
  • ISO TP transport protocol
  • UDS diagnostic protocol
  • Diagnostic data description
  • Practical diagnostics section on handling diagnostic data and diagnostic testers
  • Presentation of ODX and OTX

Important information:

  • Please provide a second screen for the online training sessions.
  • Citrix access, you will receive the instructions in good time for the appointment.

Training objectives:

  • You will learn about the structures of current vehicle networks and gain an overview of current transformations.
  • You will learn the basics of the Controller Area Network (CAN bus) and the Local Interconnect Network (LIN bus).
  • The practical section on automotive bus systems will show you how you can carry out measurements on the bus systems using CANoe or CANalyzer.
  • You will learn how to analyze Ethernet messages and get to know the most important protocols for the use of Ethernet in vehicles.
  • You will learn about the relationships between the most important diagnostic standards and protocols such as UDS, ISO TP or OBD.
  • The extensive diagnostic exercises will teach you how to analyze faults and understand diagnostic data.
  • You will gain an insight into the ODX and OTX diagnostic standards.

Duration: 5 days of 5,5 hours each (27,5 hours)

Teaching method: Live-Online-Training in a small group with a maximum of 4 to 7 participants

Certificate: Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Participation fee: Euro 1.490,00 per person plus tax.
